Andina Colombian coffee
WE ARE PROUD TO WORK WITH FAIRTRADE SUPPLIERS WHO PROVIDE QUALITY COFFEE BEANS AND FAIR WORKING CONDITIONS FOR THE ARTISAN FARMERS. WE ROAST AT ORIGIN WHICH MEANS VALUE IS ADDED IN THE PRODUCING COUNTRY – COLOMBIA
Maria Varela & Partners
Andina Coffee is the creation of Maria Varela, who moved from Colombia to Scotland in 2017. She knew that there was a market for speciality Colombian coffee in the UK and has worked hard to bring some of the best coffee beans to the UK.
Andina Coffee Co. considers the hard working coffee farmers – who handpick our best coffee beans – artisans. Our beans travel thousands of miles from the Andean (Andina in Spanish) Region of Colombia, South America, to your cup.
We are proud to work with Fairtrade suppliers who provide quality coffee beans and fair working conditions for the artisan farmers.
Cakes, Buns and Pastries
At Andina we love to support small businesses that is why we have partnered up with:
“Three Sisters Bake”, three sisters, obsessed with beautiful things, far flung places, cakes, colourful stationery and campervans, providing us with a huge variety of brownies
“Wheatberry Bakery “ artisan bakery and patisserie that draws inspiration from well tested and perfected French techniques. We, Cassie and Wojtek, have a deep love for laminated doughs and everything sourdough
“Tennessee’s Treats” , we work with Iona who provides us with cupcakes, cookies, cheesecakes and more. Iona is a drama teacher with an incredible passion for baking.
Accessories
We want to provide you with absolutely all you may need to brew the perfect coffee at home. In our online shop you can find different brewing methods, filter papers, tampers, jugs and more!
We have also partnered up with “Kara Leigh Ford Ceramics” , Kara started working with pottery as a hobby around 14 years ago, she designs and hand-make everything from her studio, just outside of Bath, Somerset and creates with love and care every single piece.
In an effort to support the Colombian community, Andina brings “Wayuu Mochilas” and ” Arhuacas Mochilas”, handmade bags, created by the Wayuu and Arhuacos indigenous groups of Colombia. Each bag takes up to 6 weeks to be made, no bag is the same as another one, they are all unique art pieces.
